Our special Christmas farmers' market is on Saturday 14 December from 9am to 1pm.

Be sure to join us for the monthly traders' market where we are expecting 45 stalls, with seasonal goodies including many Christmas ideas and special treats. There will also be festive entertainment to add to the atmosphere.

Special Christmas stalls adding to the fun on 14 December will be:

• Crafty Corner handmade seasonal items that make great gifts
• Handmade fresh green Christmas wreaths
• Handmade panettone in various sizes
• Jane's Cakes delicious Xmas puddings, mince pies and more
• Deliciously Decadent star-shaped brownies and other sweet treats
• Many of our regulars will bring additional Christmas-themed treats - Distillers gin gifts, Kokoh chocolates, Ralph's deli items, seasonal flowers and much more

Each year we ask our traders to donate something from their stall to create farmers' market festive hampers. We've received enough goodies to fill 4 of our green hessian bags and they are displayed in Richardson's window. Make sure you buy raffle tickets to be in with a chance to win one of them - not to mention many other available prizes. They will be drawn at the village Christmas Fair on 2 December on the Green.

Sign up to receive our monthly newsletter that goes out in the week before the market happens - find out the latest on which regular stallholders won't be there, new ones to expect and sometimes a feature on a regular trader attending our market. We have shopper loyalty cards available from our Farmers' Market stall - please ask if you would like one. If you buy many items from an individual stall they will initial it twice. We often have lost property handed in to us at the Farmers' Market gazebo at the entrance, come and ask us if you have mislaid something while you're shopping with us. We'll keep the items safe and bring to the next month's market if not claimed. 

If you signed up, are over the age of 60 and live in Ripley village, you will receive vouchers to spend at the market as a Christmas present from us. If you qualify but are not on the list, then come and tell us so your name and address can be added for this coming Christmas.

June 2024 update. It is with great sadness that we report the passing away of one of our past volunteers, Mindi Maclean. Mindi was a huge help to the farmers' market committee over the last ten years and helped us with our marketing and publicity amongst other things. She'll also be remembered for being a fabulous cook and host with meetings at the wonderful Broadway Barn guaranteed to be well attended. We extend our condolences to her family both here and in America.
